I was doing a "tear down" tank clean of my 75g and when cleaning the intakes etc I discovered that everyone of my eheim suction cups (8) of them would not restick to the tank ... they were all sort of inside out on themselves.

Anyone notice this? Anything you can do to get them back to normal? I tried boiling them and bending them back, but it didnt help much.

I had a spare set so I managed to get the sprayers back in with just one cup, the intakes are currently not attached to the glass. I need to find out how to fix them if possible or order more - ya more of the junk!

Any suction cup from any vendor will typically have a useful life span of ~5 years. Anything beyond that is the result of dumb luck or a nearly perfect initial seal followed by being left undisturbed.

They're made of materials that are subject to oxidative degradation over time.

If you have extras that you won't need for years, coat them with a film of olive oil and put them in a sealed baggie, squeezing out all the air you can. Wash them before using them.

These aren't parts which have been sitting in a box for years and dried out ... they have been in the tank/water for a handful of months. Also its not one or two of the cups, its everyone of them; so I figure everyone who has them would experience the same thing.

I've never had any issues with the cheap clear suction cups that you purchase for hoses or the one for feeding clips. I guess Ill look for some of those that will fit the eheim intakes/sprayer clamps.
