I would like to have a snail or maybe a shrimp of some sorts. I probably wont be able to with the stock but thought I would ask. I have little knowledge of inverts. So heres the stats

20GL
3 Odessa Barbs
5 Rasboras Harlequin
2 False Julii Cories
2 Bolivian Rams
1 African Dwarf Frog

I would think the rams or barbs would munch on a snail or shrimp, no?

Hmmm, some how i missed this thread completely. How densely planted is the tank? The rams would certainly eat the shrimp, or try their best and probably the barbs as well. An apple snail may be doable, but it really depends on the rams. The only concern would be the potential for the antennae to be nipped which can cause the snail to be shy and not feed properly. You could always add something like common ramshorns which can be quite colorful, eat algae and dead plant matter, and are inexpensive and breed readily.

I would be concerned that the barbs would at least harass them to death.
