Downgraded to 10 gallon tank, with pics

well, i am considering downgrading myself, so this thread is sorta interesting to me. looks very good so far.

Thanks. I hate having to have only one tank, but it has forced me to put a lot of thought into what I want and how to aquascape it.

I'd love any suggestions for background plants. It's a low tank height (about a foot from top of substrate to lights) with very very soft water and low CO2 levels.

awsome tank do u plan on adding any java moss to the wood

I've been thinking about it. I have some in QT right now. As soon as the Anubias take hold on the driftwood (Right now they are tied on) I'll probably tie on the moss.

Thanks, Bk. I'm finding it a challenge to downgrade (so may fish! so little room!), but it's nice to only have to deal with a 2.5 gallon water change every week.

I think it'll look nice when I have some background plants in there to mask the filter uptake tube and the heater cord a little. If I can't find a good background plant that can grow in low light and low CO2, I'll try some silk plants.

add some wisteria!!! i love them!!! but they might now fit in there b cuz its a ten gallon... I dunno maybe in the back left cornewr? just some suggestions

I like the Anubias Bateri (Round Leaf) and Java Ferns. I have them in a 20long with regular lighting that came with the lighthood setup. I have found the anubias especially to really thrive quiet easily. And I don't do anything special for the plants either.

Thanks for the suggestions. I'm thinking Wisteria is too tall for a 10 gallon (i hate pruning). The low CO2 levels might be a problem, too. I might toss in some silk plants and see how they look.
