Pregnant SAE

Extreme temperature change did occur. I think I need to first off remove the SAE from the main tank and in a QT. Can't do that until I get home (in 8 hours).

I feed them same as all other fish... tropical fish micro pellets, flakes, sticks. I feed my pleco zuccini occasionally but only as a treat (once a week or so)

Lupin, how can you tell it is bacterial infection in this case?

There is no way to tell as dropsy is a case that happens internally. Unless you see other fish developing dropsy after consuming a dead fish, you can't.

Update:

Came home this evening and found SAE almost completely back to normal. Just a slight bloat. She is also swimming normally and as active as always. So I guess it was just bloated, probably over fed. I'll change the water anyway for good measure.
