Have anyone used Lifeguard Jungle product when introdusing new fish, or as a treatment?

Is that the combo all-in-one stuff thats supposed to treat for parasites, fungus and baterial all at once? I wouldn't touch the stuff, I cant imagine how much stress that would cause. I'd rather do some research to figure out the problem and treat it properly, rather than use a catch-all. As fas as introducing new fish, I QT them and observe, and don't treat with anything unless a problem develops.

Thanks, just wanted to see if anyone thought it was a good product.
Yes, you never know with these all in one fix products.

I usually qt fish for atleast 1 month and treat for internal parasites.
if the source of your fish is relaible and known to you..then I would forgo the parasite treatment.
I never treat bacterial infections unless one develops.

Thanks, it just what someone sujested at LFS when I asked if the rams they had for sale were from a breader that they know.

when it comes to rams..it is very important to find out where they come from.
no amount of additive in the tank may save some that have been fed hormones to speed their growth.

They didn't have much color to them, but who knows.
It is a business.
Thanks again.

What do you use to treat for parasites in QT?

metro,prazi and levamisoleHcl
unfortunately many fish are infected when they arrive and the parasite problem may not show till after the QT time.
I learned from a very experianced fish keeper/breeder.. treat your fish when you get them.

far outweighs the risks to your maintank if the problem arises after you introduce the fish.
