I believe nick is asking how to do the refill. The only way I know of is to change out the faucets/taps or to jury rig something that would be pretty ugly and in conveinient for daily use.
I actually had that thought yesterday. I think your option is to look to your shower head. Typical shower heads have threads. I'm not sure if the python adapter fits it directly, but you could buy an adapter at Home Depot. There's a guy on this board that did it.
Do you have anothe faucet in the house? I use tha one in my bathroom and the one in my kitchen depending on which tank I'm doing the water change on. If you unscrew the aerator from the end of the faucet You can buy an adapter that will screw onto or into the faucet and the male end will have the threads to attach the python to. You can use the shower head also, but you will still need an adapter to put on the shower head spout in aorder to attach the python to it.
The downside is that you put cold water into your tank. Not so much of an issue in 10 or 20g tanks because the heaters warm the water quickly, but in a 55, 65, 125g tank, all of sudden you're really dropping the temp down a lot. A lot of fish wouldn't mind, but throw a ram or discus in the mix, and you'll have one angry fish(if he's still alive).
The shower spout will have threads, but you woun't be able to hook the python directly to it. The threads on the shower spout are pipe threads, those are different than the threads for a hose or a python hook up. but they do make a nice little adapter that you can get at any hardware store that will screw right onto the shower spout.
