I have 2 dwarf gouramis that make my tank look really nice but i have noticed them kinda mean nipping at my cory's fins and chasing the smaller fish around. What are some nice loooking large fish to put in a community tank?

Rams, are peaceful (not two males though). Angels are peaceful--with anything it cannot eat.

bettas are peaceful but some will nip if they can catch the other fish. some, not all.
female bettas are cool, but are best in groups of 4+ id say.

Goldfish. Cohabits with much smaller fish without problem.

Goldfish don't belong in a heated tank and need a rather large one with frequent water changes :). Opaline and three spot gouramis are pretty, though I've heard sometimes the three spots can be aggressive.

Opaline and three spot are still the same species. The gold is another. I wouldn't consider them friendly. More like semi-aggressive to aggressive depending on the individual's temperament and environmental conditions.

I mixed up my species! Though I thought gold gouramis were a variant of the three spot? They have three spots, and that was in all of the books I read back in the day..in fact, doing a google search brings them up as a color variant of the three spot...could you provide a linky?

Man, mixing gourami species is a mark of shame to me, lol. I meant pearl, don't know where opaline came from.
