Sevs in my experience are pretty peaceful I just wouldnt put a large one in with fish you are trying to grow out as mine seems to eat any and everything and seems to have no limit to how much he can eat. kinda annoying when Im trying to get my juvi Uaru's to grow

Silverdollars (spotted, regular grow to 5'') redhooks grow to 12'', sevrums, or uarus.

I agree. I once had a 45 gallon with three silverdollars. They never bothered any of the other fish. They grew to 4 inches. And were beautiful!

You should get a "Geophagus Jurupari". They are a peaceful cichlid. They grow to 8-10", but are slow growers. Only get 1 male though, males fight each other. Very active too = )
