My Guianacara geayi have apparently been busy.
I came in after getting home from work and saw this:
Sorry about the picture quality. I was rather excited at the time.
I have several more pictures here: http://www.aquariu.ms/images/main.php?g2_itemId=865
I had a pair of adult angels in the tank, and they were pretty much plastered to the opposite side of the tank, though I sawno real signs of agression by the gaeyi. My wife talked me into moving them to a different tank.
What I am really fascinated by is the behavior of the fry. They seem to intuitively obey the mother. It's night time, and they are packed into a tight cluster under the pot you see in the picture. Cool stuff. I do not know if I should take them out or leave them with the parents. I can find NO information on breeding Guianacara geayi. Anyone familiar with them? Anyone interested in some Guianacara geayi? I DO NOT recommend them for planted tanks. They are home wreckers.
