C02 - Fire Extinguisher style

Also, I don't want a tank in the living room that will make the room look like a welding shot so am wondering where online one can pick up a tank that perhaps is not so displeasing to the eye - will still look around locally too.

Here is a really good buy for new Aluminum C02 tanks.
There's another company on the east coast that I purchased from to avoid sales tax. They sell them for the same price and shipping. I can't find that link at the moment.

Any regulator you buy for under $300 is going to be about the same.

Jeffery, still looking for advice here...

Does the $90/shipped Milwaukee compare equally (or about the same) to Rex's $213 (shipped in the US) "Best Darn Aquarium Regulator" ?

I'm close to buying a unit this is a crucial point for me... thx...

thx, more than anything you gave me a point of reference regards what is a good deal.

You suggested:
http://www.beveragefactory.com/draftbeer/tanks/co2/

and I had a look at the 20lb version:
http://www.beveragefactory.com/draftbeer/tanks/co2/C20.shtml

My total price was $114.26

I also checked here (also for 20lbs):
http://www.aquariumplants.com/product_p/t.htm

and my price came to $115.10.

I went with it because from the description, the exterior of the unit was more 'aquarium friendly'... Probably kidding myself though as both are aluminum and would probably have been delivered the same :) Then again, if what I ordered is NOT pristine, I can always fire back at the seller with a valid complaint since it wasn't delivered as promised...

Now awaiting regulator issue to be resolved :headshake2:

Those regulators will work fine. The only thing they are missing is the solenoid to turn the gas off and some do not have a bubble counter. I use 2 milwaukee regulators and have had no problems. I like them because they are one complete unit with solenoid, bubble counter included. I also use 10 lb fire extinguishers for my C02.

its all in one systems vs making your own.

finz rex regulator is only 140
Regulators custom built by Rex Grigg
Controlled Regulator. Comes with Clippard Needle valve.
Solenoid has red LED when powered on, $140 shipped in the U.S.

there is also a 3rd option....
http://www.aquariumplants.com/AQUARIUMPLANTS_com_s_Co2_Regulator_The_BEST_p/co2-1.htm

$169.99 3 year FULL warranty!

i think rex and aquariumplants are better regulators. if you have the money i would go with one of them. rex will really help you out and answer any questions you may have. i have problems with gauge on the cheaper regulators.

By the way, changed that order from a 20lb to a 10lb, per my original direction. Will prob end up having two (2) units total and although more expensive, will prove more flexible and of course (per original idea), will work better in my living area...

You can feed multiple tanks using one C02 tank and regulator.
That's what I do in my living room.

sorry... two unit in regads to C02 tanks so that I don't have a monsterous one... and gives me flexibility to just about always have something connected to the aquarium.
