i have been meaning to do this for a few years and finally got off my butt and figured out how. all parts were bought at home depot. in the plumbing department i got a hose thread adapter and a 3/4" hose thread adapter.

then i went to the garden department and got a 5/8" female pro mender.

i combined the thread adapters first and then i attached them to the pro mender.

i heated the tubing onto it. i made sure the mender was a little big so that it would seal tightly to the tubing. i heated the tubing with a match and it softened and strectched with no problem.

and the final touch... fits like a glove and all under $10.

Just make sure you take your existing aerator with you when buying adapters. Every sink faucet in my house has a different thread. Also consider getting a 90 degree fitting if your sink is very shallow otherwise the hose/tubing will get kinked & slow your flow.

very good points. i found this size works on all my sinks and my friends sinks but many different sizes exist. best idea is to take your aerator to check the size. thank you dudley.
