outflow diffuser using coke bottle?

its not really that hard you cut in half or so poke holes in it. you could put the plastic between the hob and the tank and it should hold it.
On a HOB filter?
I find a bottle the right link, usually those cheap small water bottles,
Cut both ends off then slit it length wise.
Tape it to the lid of the HOB and tuck the other end under the outflow.
This re-directs the flow to the side.
The only reason I do this is to prevent live plants from being pushed over.
