Filter Recommendation Please

I have a 10G tank I plan on putting a Beta in.

I am looking for a decent filter for >$20 if possible.

Does anyone have a recommendation for type of filter and possible somewhere online to buy it from?

Most people will recommend either the aquaclear 20 or the tom rapids canister, methinks. I would like to also say that hydor sponge filters are great for backup and extra filtration.

AC 20 is nice. They retail for $25 at chain pet stores.

i have a whisper 10 (really cheap) and it works fine on my 10g. it'd definitely do the job if you only have one betta.

I love my Penguins, but I don't recommend the 100 for a 10 gallon tank...just way too much water flow. The AquaClear filters just don't have the same kind of force behind them and you can adjust the flow....so I recommend them for tanks of this small size.
