I just started to set up a frontosa tank. I was wondering what would be good tank mates for them, i am also lokking for a good invert, but not going so well

How are is your tank?

Perhaps a small group of altolamprologus (calvus or compressiceps).

Most inverts are prone to become frontosa food.

You probably cannot get an invert, but you could put some synodontis eupteras or multipunctatus (very cool catfish, a few inches smaller then the fronts...)

Personally to contrast the colors, I would add in some Neolamprologus lelupei. They are yellow, stay small, but not too small, and would add some color to the tank.

(in the same vein, if you aren't opposed to mixing Africans, you could add yellow labs)

just a 55 right now, haven't got the fish yet they are in the mail. i ordered 5 from a previous owner, i think they are about 4-5"
