Big fish at an LFS.

Just to expand on the education of the kids idea. I mentioned this in another thread but it seems appropriate here. Do an educational blitz of schools. You may or may not liase with SPCA. But do liase with the teachers. Have the kids set up a fishtank PROPERLY for a science project and observe the ammonia and nitrites and the effect the plants have and monitor oxygen levels in the water etc. Use bettas in a vase or bowl as your example of how NOT to do it.

If you stock it with platies or guppies you can even extend it to sex education!

Surely with all of the fish forums around, you should be able to find people with some of these monster fish that you could get high-resolution photos of to print/laminate in real size.

You could also put together a slideshow/video from photos and images gathered online (with consent) to run on a loop. Shouldn't take too much effort or $ either.

Also, don't forget the CAE... both size and slime-coat sucking info.

Well, I'm open to photo donations.... :grinyes: I chatted briefly last week with a local printer floating that idea and he may be willing to do it fairly affordably.
