Oscar tank buddies

I have 2 oscars, and obviously, they go well with another tankmate BUT only if they've grown up together (mine are siblings).

A good fish to be with them are plecos, although my oscars gave it a really hard time before (now the pleco has outgrown the oscars, so no more teasing!)

my 4 1/2 inch oscar is constantly bullying my 12 inch pleco lol..i think he must think he is bigger....

i would like to ask you gusy what fish i could put in with mine...i have a 90g tank with 1 agressive oscar and 1 pleco..for size look at my las post...i would like a bigish catfish and maybe another pleco..

what do you think? possible?
my tank is well filtered, i have the standard filter that is fitted inside the tank and a fluvel 404 canister filter and i do wekkly 50% water changes

I have had good luck with a young red tail catfish((about 14") at least until he outgrows the tank) and my Oscars adopted a small group of convicts that were given to me as feeders. they have been together for about 2 yrs now. in the warmer months they all get to go out to the pond and play

So you've had your RTC for two years and he's only 14"?

yes about that might be a bit longer... it was about 6" when I got it from a restaurant that had kept it and 3 oscars,3 pacu and a common pleco in a 125. they are getting rid of the tank and trying to find a home for the fish. the pacu are now in a 1500 indoor pond the oscars all went to a guy with a 200 gal tank and I kept the pleco and noone wanted the RTC.
I don't know how long they had the RTC and most likely it was stunted. I know they all were way under weight when I RESCUED them.

Thats a shocking amount of fish for a 125g, it does sound like he has been stunted.
Do you know how long they had him?
What size tank do you have him in now?
Sorry for the questions but i get intrigued when people say they have fish like RTC.

Convict Cichlids make good tank mates for oscars. As long as they're not small enough to get eaten!
