Arrested for an overdue book??

Um.... No. :thumbsdown:

Taking full responsibility would have meant:
A: Returning the books on time or
B: Skipping a trip to the tanning salon and actually PAYING the meager $10 fine that was owed...

Instead of "Laughing" when she received the letter WARNING of Police action... She could have saved herself, the Library, the Police and ultimately the taxpayers a lot of grief.
 
why did they not just escort her to the library and extract the 10 bucks there and put an end to it rather than taking her to jail and booking her
 
You'll get arrested for stealing a pack of cigarrettes, so I guess it sort of makes sense that you could be arrested over $10. It's the library, not the Salvation Army. :)

LOL...it's sad. I still have the books, in fact they are sitting on my dresser. Why I haven't returned them yet, I don't even know...:D:D:D
