Tank mates for Tiger/Green Barbs

I had barbs in with my discus, and cardinals, never saw them nipping an anyone that wasn't a barb...
but I had like 6 or more...

well albino barbs are less nippy,i think the green one as well.

They are all the same species. Just different color morphs. :wall:

You stated that a specific (actually 2 of 3) color morph was less nippy. No? That is 100% wrong. If you have no experience with or haven't done real research on the fish, you shouldn't be offering advice. Just my $2.

Color variations on Tiger Barbs don't change behavior.

With that said, in groups (6-8 or more) they will work out agression amongst themselves for the most part.

As for other tank mates, fish that move fast and cant take care of themselves work. Giant danios have been a good mix for me. My barbs ignore my loaches and my rainbows. Just don't pick slow moving or long finned fish. I would advise against Rams - they don't move fast enough and have just long enough fins to be tempting for barbs.

Ok, I'm thinking about a pair of Kribensis and/or a Red Tailed Shark.

Will these be ok with the barbs and each other?

RTS + barbs = fine
Kribs + barbs = fine
Kribs + RTS= no

Ok, if I have to choose between Kribs and an RTS, I would rather go with Kribs.

Now what if I got a Yoyo Loach as well? Saw one in the store today and they are so cool!
