The bulbs are barely off the top glass, but they fit my tank just perfect any longer or shorter and i would have had to bend the edges a little to fit. But, yeah, you can get them a bunch of sizes and the T8 bulb (Hagen, ZooMed, CoraLife etc.) work in them.

they are ok but not the best..... i cut 100 wpg from my one tank going with cf and got better growth and looked better..... if you dont have the money for them they can work but just not the best.

no that has to do more with your fish lol

not saying they wont or cant grow fish i think they are good for starters but should really invest in some good lights if you want to do planted set ups.
