Keeping Glosso / Dwarf Hairgrass Alive Until Wood Arrives?

So my plants (glosso and hairgrass) are arriving today. YAY! However, the driftwood that I plan on using in the rescape hasn't arrived yet (hopefully here by the end of the week, but maybe not until the beginning of next week).

I'm not realy sure what to do with the plants. I'm wary of just putting them into the tank because I wanted to do a thorough cleaning (trying to get as much of the BBA out of the tank as possible) before I put them in there. I could pull out the clover (since this is the major point of algae growth) and the driftwood (again, algae growth and they're coming out anyway) but I want to disturb my fish as little as possible.

What should I do with the new plants until I'm ready to rescape??

thanks

yes they are coming in pots. do I need to put the pots in the tank or...? what do you mean by "leave them be"?
