I have a gold and silver gourmi, who pick on each other quite often. I just introduced two cichlids into the tank that are bigger then the gourmi's. It's 55 gal. and I also have 2 swordtails, a black molly, and a fiscus catfish.
The cichlids are grey with black striping,
I was just wondering if Cichlids would kill any other inhabitants, (they are all pretty tough from the gold gourmi picking on them)

If anyone could answer my question I would appreciate it a lot.

hmmmm, grey with black stripes.are you talking about convict's?

I have a dwarf gourami in my discus tank and they fight a little during feeding time. I'm guessing african cichlids would be much worse... Your cichlids sound like convicts which would be a terrible idea to put em with anything really... I would ID them before you do anything.

i tried a pair of convicts in with my oscar years back...the convicts were not even half the size of my oscar and they still were beating him up..in the end i had to trade them....cool fish though but better kept on their own.

i would not keep gold or silver gouramis with cichlids, especially africans.

...or swordtails/molly's...

If they are cons, you might want to find out if it's a pair(the female has a reddish tint on the abdomen)-because when they spawn-they can terrorize fish much bigger than they are!
You also might want to decide what you want-a cichlid tank, or community tank(there are some more peaceful cichlids that can be fine with community fish-rams,etc.)

if the convicts aren't paired up they will do fine in a cichlid community, even with oscars if the tank is large
