What the heck with the posting mid sentence???

JLs vote for me does not concern me because he often votes for me on Day 1, however LGs vote for me just to vote for a Vet seems very peculiar. Why would a Townie want to take out the experienced folks so early? Perhaps because they can read you better my dear.

I started thinking about the lack of real input so far. Besides 3L and some responses to 3L there has not been many suspects thrown out there.

I have already stated that I would not vote for 3L on the first day and plan on sticking to that. I had also stated that I would vote for an experienced player. This post by ZS has made me re-consider that. I will not limit my first day vote to the vets.

That leaves everyone, but 3L, as suspects.

I also know that there is a tendancy to vote for active posters on day one. I do not like that fact that there is even a hint of a train on day one.

I retract my vote to test ZSandmann

Now my vote still could land on ZS, but for now, I want to see how others post. I am not real sold that there was even a train, so maybe ZS was being a little dramatic.

The buzzwords "TRAIN" and "TEAM" have brought up major red flags.

where did you edit a comment and how do you know it's against the rules? I know the rules are posted but I am puzzled why you would go ahead and edit a post, and then look to see if you broke the rules... did someone tell you to come clean with that?

This is a good point, as I looked back and didn't see anyone calling him on his edit... So why would one go back to reread the rules and find out you shouldn't have edited? While I don't necessarily buy 3L's explanation, I also wonder if someone had privately informed him about not editing, why 3L would even bring it up as opposed to just let it slide.

3L, something that interests me is that even though you've never played before, you seem to be familiar with rb's modding style...referring to the game mod being busy trying to throw us off. As rb is really the only game mod who tries to 'throw us all off,' it just seems weird that you would know that.

Also, you refer to 'negative attention being better than no attention'...FALSE. No attention is better all the way around, for EVERYONE:

If you're scum, negative attention is bad for obvious reasons, but even if you're a townie, negative attention is just as bad. Although it may not seem like it, Mafia is a team game. Townies need to work together to lynch the bad guys. Any townie inviting negative attention not only distracts the town from finding mafium, but helps the mafia by inviting a wrongful lynch (usually by the townies), whereby the townies do the mafia's work for them.

One of the best ways to catch mafium is to make them work hard for the lynches. By doing so, they leave trails, which usually after a day or two start to become clearer.

With that said, I really have no idea who I'm going to vote for. 3L is the only person even mildy on my radar at this point. I'm not keen on just lynching the wild-talking new guy on Day 1, though, as in past games, that has rarely gone in the town's favor.

So noodles, besides the newb 3L, who is peaking your interest? Who seems like they could be evil? Anything concern you so far?

By the way, I work also and often I am a low poster. Most likely my work will get in the way of this game, as well as my marriage, eating and sleeping. Having not played for a while, I am hoping that I can have some sort of balance. This game is a nice break from it all, but it can be addicting. I have stayed away from the real mafia site for that reason. I am lucky enough to be able to play while at work.

Agree with all of the above Mad, anti-town acting townies are far worse for the town than a few Mafia. Playing loose is the best way to get yourself lynched.

My top three right now (but not in any kind of order) are 3L, LG, and Dawg. They are also some of the most active unfortunately, meaning that I'm not getting a good read on the lurkers yet. But that's day 1 for you.

3L you shouldn't rely on Rb to keep you up to date. Open a word doc or Excel or notepad etc and keep a record for yourself. Only takes a second and it is a good reference.
