I am still utterly impressed with the quality going into this Coy.... did you get your lights ordered?

Thanks Vader - it has turned into a really big project. I have done some minor woodworking jobs before - but never anything like this. A few of the steps are almost over my head and trying to make do with the tools I have available certainly makes it a challenge. Here are a couple of updates from today. Gluing up the face plate ~~

not only is it going to look better, its going to be a lot stronger too.

the laminate materials the prefab stands use are great..for a few years..

I have had to take apart two big stands during my time at the LFS from water damaged laminate stands..that type of material is very strong when dry, not very strong when it gets wet, swells and expands....

After looking and much research - I just didn't think the LFS stand and canopy were worth the money (no offense Vader - your stand and canopy look awesome). Just thought I could build a better one for "much" less.

I love the Eheim trio, but wouldn't that be too little filtration for a 150 gallon tank?
