Bio loads for newbies - the idiots guide written by an idiot!

I alternate between frozen food and dry food. The frozen food is a mixture of Mysis, Brine shrimp, Microplankton, cyclopeeze, herbivore diet, krill, mussel, cockle and crushed garlic. I mix it all with RO water in an old squeezy mayonnaise bottle. I give 1 squirt every morning, I've just cut down on how big a squirt I give!!

I also have a nori sheet on a clip every day.

I also feed a whole frozen mussel to my trigger every other day to help keep his teeth in shape and to stop him playing ball with the crabs!

For 6 fish, I'd mix a variety of foods suitable for individual tastes in a bottle and put a small squirt in each day.

Nice post and use of the word "pooper". But your far from an idiot. Just excited. lol we all do it.

Is it possible to do an inches per gallon calculation(fish inches per gallon i mean)?

I don't like that rule generally, but definately not when it comes to saltwater fish. I find it doesn't work.

For example, my lawnmower blenny is a lot smaller than my Lamarks angel but definately a bigger pooper!

That's why we're always harping on about allowing tanks to cycle properly to get ready for the bioload and add fish slowly.

Oh yeah

and learn your limit!!!;)

Trigger is going back to the shop. When I saw him chasing my angel and lawnmower blenny the other day, it helped me make up my mind.
