my spixi snails have not mated in a month or so, and i AM WORRIED.

20g tank
Temp. 80 degrees
ph 7.6-7.8
ammonia 0
nirites 0
nitrates .5

yes I want them to mate and have beautiful babies! they get fed veggies(squash, zucchini, green beans), snail jello, shrimp pellets. cuttlebone in the tank, no other tank mates(except a few feeder guppies for frogs)
there are 6 older ones in there, about 10-15 of their babies- most of which are almost full grown adults, and 20 from another line(bought on aquabid)

anyone know what's up? besides them! :)

try giving them a lot of food and then the next day do an 80% water change?

So you have 35 spixis plus guppies and frogs in a 20g? Is that the correct stocking? How frequently are you doing waterchanges? Your parameters look good for what we can test for, but I would be doing a minimum of 2x weekly changes on that tank. I have noticed when my snail tanks become overpopulated, the adults stop breeding and the juvies grow slower.

no...lol.. I have roughly 35 spixi's (some are leaving soon) 3 feeder guppuies that are being housed for hubbies frogs. water changes are 2 times a week and the babies are growng like crazy, I have moved a few to other tanks and they are growing even faster! they will be going to my 55g soon, I have to get rid of the 20g, just as soon as those pesky whisker shrimp move out of my 29g! :)
