male rosy barbs fighting

Your welcome:)

I concur with adding more Barbs-I would more suggest adding females then males, though-because of how beautiful the male's coloring is when they have girls to strut for!lol But, I am going to have to disagree with the fact that the female are hard to find, pretty much every pet store that I have gone to across the country has had a mix of males and females-but no one likes to buy them cause the are seen as "bland".

OH....and where are the Pictures?!:D

Weird. Here it's only males and I've seen a few random females but not enough to stock a school appropriately.

If i was to take out my angels could i get 2 female barbs and are they hard to breed and does the male or female get agressive when there eggs are in the tank?

thanks

You know I find it interesting to hear most people and websites tell others rosy barbs grow to 6 inches yet I have never seen one even reaching 4 inches. Most of what I had never even grow beyond 3 inches. Rosy barbs are very easy to breed.

I've got a school of rosy barbs in a large outdoor pond with 45 goldfish. The barbs don't nip, possibly because they have plenty of room and a good male/female mix. The boys are a great colour now (our Spring). Also, they must be at least two years old but are no more than 3" long. Just my experience.lol
