DIY moonlight

Well, I got this idea from a guy on another forum and ran with it. Phillips has some blue led christmas lights (at target $12)
I just drilled a small hole about every inch in my reflector. It's working out well.

(my camera doesn't do justice to the night view....It's a real nice effect)

That is cool, I just bought off of ebay a 4 led wide angel moonlight kit for my planted tank. I hope mine turns out that cool. LOL, I never thought of the christmas lights thou.

Ya, they are rated for indoor/outdoor use. No problems as of yet.

Can't wait to try it! Did you use that with bulbs on it or was the reflector alone? I ask that because I am wondering if I can do that with mine, but I have a bulb in it.
