I was just wondering since, I havnt heard any stories where the two have interbred, but found signs of caution since they might. Has anyone experience with this? Will bumble bee shrimp breed with CBS OR CRS?

Bumblebee/tiger crosses

I have been keeping a few tigers with my bumblebees for approx a year now. I haven't seen any shrimp that appear to be crosses appearing in my tank. The baby BB's have the distinct white/brown candy stripe look you would expect and the tiger babies look like the tiger babies I have in another tank that has only tiger shrimp in it. I have attached a picture of one of the baby bb's I have raised. The colors tend to fade as the shrimp mature. :)

Caridina cf. cantonesis "Tiger"

That is something I have considered doing if I can get a large enough colony to separate the reds from the darker brown. I don't have any black colored shrimp in my colony of bumblebees. So far though I find them to be fairly slow reproducing. All of the shrimp on the leaf are shrimp that were born in my tank. Why do you ask if they are fertile?

Bumblebee are (Caridina cf. breviata "Bumble Bee"). I don't have any CRS or CBS shrimp. As southerndesert says there is always the chance they will interbreed and I have seen pictures of bee (Caridina cf. cantonesis), tiger (Caridina cf. cantonesis "Tiger") crosses.

It is best to try and house different shrimp that may interbreed separately, however, when I started keeping these shrimp I ended up with some tigers and some bumblebees mixed in the same order and had only one tank ready.

that would be sweet if you can breed out a black and red species
