You know what I use to do to my mean old ciclid? If I saw him nip someone, i'd catch him in the net and put him on my carpet. I'd let him flop around for a few seconds and let him get dusty. Threw him back into the tank as a giant yellow fluff ball and he'd mellow out for awhile.

Shame I went on vaca and he killed everything in my ciclid tank... > : |

They are fish and not sure how much feelings they have exactly but isn't that still a form of animal cruelty, if not legally...morally?
 
Fish have pretty simple brains. Taking them out of the tank to flop around on the floor isn't going to reprogram them, lol! It's instinct for them to protect and defend a territory.

they were in a 125. but had to take them both out and put them in my emergency tank which is a 10gal. she never came out of her hiding space which he couldnt fit in to which is why i guess he only got her fins.
but i already have his 175 in the hall which he was going to be put in after xmas.

yep power kit they will each have their own tanks.
