Does anyone have any pictures of a fully grown angel? even better with the angel besides something for a size comparison? I have read that they get big, but can't find any pictures.

I am trying to see how much bigger I can expect mine to grow.

Thanks.

part of how big they get depends on genetics.
and also species.

I have seen adult 8 yr old angels that were 5-6" body size with fins nearly 11" tall
mine are only 2-4 yrs old and still growing..they grow fastest when young then slow down but continue to grow nearly their whole life.

Tank is 18 inches high and 30 inches wide. He is about 3.

Sounds like mine have some way to go then, they are all scalare angels. I have had them for 9 months now, so would hazard a guess that they are about a year old. I have 2 males who are about 5-6" including fins, and a female who is a little smaller.

I need to get back into the habit of giving mine a more varied diet, they still get variety, just not as much as they used to.

I don't have any recent pics, but I think the biggest of mine may be a similar size to your angel rich. Might have to take some new pictures later.

rich..looks like a veil variety and a DD black too...nice angel

none of mine are veils..the wilds are taller than your typical scalare. I'll have to try and get pics when the male stretched his fins my tank is alos 18" high and he will stretch to nearly half the height of my tank.

None of mine are veils either, but will also try to get a pic as I think both of my tanks are also 18" high (one is a 29G, the other a 55G). I would guess that the biggest when he straightens out is about a third of the tank height.

2 of mine are gold angels, and the other is a zebra (I think I had sent you a pic a few months ago star_rider when double checking on if it was a wild angel).

Rich, that is a nice picture!
