I gotta nice chunk of time and went nutz. I put a thin layer of peat down and then 1/2 inch of Soilmaster select topped with the river sand. I planted some dwarf sag and crypts and anchored the wood to a rock with fishing line. I topped the wood with a green oval plastic plant base and screwed it down with a stainless wood screw.
The tank and hood were being thrown out.
I found the wood rocks and sand.
Plants are all extra from other tanks.
All bits and pieces to assemble were here and there.
Soilmaster Select and peat... about 25 cents worth.
Q
This is the way the tank looked right after filling with water. All I did before this shot was to knock bubbles off the glass. It still needs a nip and tuck and to grow in but you get the idea.
I think I remember seeing something like this... in an ADA tank website, nice scaping! Is the plant at the top of the "tree" just one plant or a mixture of mosses and such?
