I am a human resources assistant. I went to school for commercial and graphic design, i have found that to come in handy pretty much every where i've worked and definatly for recreation! i may need to go back and learn a few more things now tho.

Purposely Unemployed Forever(?). I am unemployed but I have a vocation. I don't get paid for what I do.

It must be more fun at the retail end of things. I sell parts for an Infiniti dealership, and its a lot more wholesale and inhouse stuff than retail, but we do a bit of everything. I have come to loath the automotive industry though. Its taught me a few things I'd rather not have learned:
-Not to trust anyones word
-Being an @ss and getting upset gets you way more in life than being reasonable
-No one will watch out for you if you don't do so yourself.
I'm on my way back to school full time next semester to finish up an associates degree that I foolishly gave up on a few years back (i'm only 24, so it wasn't too long ago). Aside from that I've been applying for as many jobs as I can find that pay good and that I qualify for. I guess I'll have to be patient and see which way the wind blows me...

But I have found the above things true. I rarely trust mechanics words, and sadly, number 2 is 100% true, but only because corporate decides that we absolutely need their business. Really sad though, Its my opinion that if you behave like a 5 year old, you don't need to do business with us.
But retail can also be fun because often times I will find myself changing a battery and chatting with the customer, its quite fun sometimes with some people, others not so much.

I'm currently working at a vet clinic as a technician and applying for vet school this year. Got my degree in Pathobiology.
Thanks for responding so much guys! You all have really given me some insight. I think I'm going to go into health somewhere. I've been talking to people and my girlfriend(of two years) is going to try and go to a nursing college for the remainder of her college courses. I think I'll go with once I graduate, it's bound to have plenty of health-related courses.
I really am thinking of becoming an anesthesiologist. It sounds VERY interesting and fun. Stick people with needles, put fluids into their bodies to make them sleep, monitor them, life in your hands.
Not to mention the job security (as noodles said)

Well, after 4 years of college getting a B.S. in Zoology/Physiology, took a job at an oil refinery. Intended on taking a break from school, saving some money and going back for a Masters after a year and a half. Then an unexpected baby came along and I wouldn't walk away from the responsibility. Seventeen years later, I double as assistant superintendent for the Crude Unit and the Wastewater Treatment Plant.
