I was in the military (navy) for 5 years. i know you say everyone around you is in the military, but think about it this way.. nobody forces anyone to join. maybe it's a good idea. ;) i know it was for me.

^^ :iagree: The military is not for everyone but 2 out 3 of my sons are in the service and are making very successful careers out of it; my 3rd and youngest son chose not to join and from a mom's point of view seems a bit lost and still trying to find his way.
 
oh, and i forgot to mention.. i may have gotten out after 5 years, but i definitely miss it and (don't kick me guys) would consider re-upping someday.
 
My dad retired from the Marine Corp after 24 years, he loved being a Marine and I loved that he was. I wanted to marry a Marine when I was growing up, that dreams is not a reality :D

I am a drafter, I use SoftPlan to draw residential and commercial construction plans. I work for someone but I am trying to branch out to draw for myself. Its just hard in this economy, who has money to build a new house?
 
Im a project manager for a large structural fabrication shop. I manage men on what they are to do and make sure we meet deadlines for the customer.
