How to tell if your Assassins are working

I have a 29 gallon heavily planted tank that I have about 60+ young Assassins crawling around in. It used to be you threw in 6 green beans and with in minutes they were little MTS logs. Now I have been throwing in large Rams to help feed the adults and I can see their shells but I haven't seen any MTS shells. So I threw in 6 beans as usual since I only do it once a week and they are still there this morning. Guess I need to go snail collecting in my other tanks....

Not real sure exactly what you are saying:hypnotized: but if you are talking about Assassins taking down MTS they go after them with no problems..... The reason for not seeing the shells is most of the kills are in among the plants and they blend into the gravel where the Ram shells are big and stick out like sore thumb even among the plants.
