filter help!

I have a Marineland biowheel 200, and after I put my sand in It got pretty dirty and stuff, so I cleaned it out and after words put it back in and it stoped working? any ideas? basically it just won't suck up the water so it can be filtered-- i'm really confused! here is a link to the filter--http://www.arcatapet.com/item.cfm?cat=9858

Im not very sure. The intake J tube sometimes has a notch where the propeller sticks on to it...and then you lower that into the chamber magnet first ofcourse...

Have you primed it first? What i mean is dumping a cup of water in it as its on...continually do this till the siphon starts.

Be sure the magnet with the fan piece is in place correctly...and try what I said.
 
Prime the impeller with a few cups of water from your tank. If you've already done that, you may want to check the above, as well as check to make sure the tube is properly seated on the impeller or there isn't a grain of sand stuck in the shaft to prevent the impeller from moving.
