Tonight when I went to feed my fish I noticed that one of my powder blue dwarf's was blowing bubbles out of his gills every time he went to the surface to get a pc of food. He would gulp the food and then actual bubbles would come out both sides from behind his gills.

He seems fine and is eating well, water is AM=0, rites=0, ates=10

It just seems strange to me.....

for the record, 46g tank everybody else seems fine as well.

Yep, it's just bubbles going through his gills, nothing much more than that. It's perfectly normal, when my dwarf gourami builds his nests, some of the bubbles he swallows go through his gills.

to my knowledge bubble nests are a sign that males show females there ready to breed betas do the same. its a good sign that says your water and fish are healthy
