Just want some opinions on stocking my tank. I currently have 12 small fish in my 26 gal. tank, 6-zebra danios, 3-flame tetras & 3-bloodfin tetras. All of these are under 2 inches in length. The smart part of me says that I'm really close to being fully stocked for this size tank and I don't want to cause problems for myself. But another part of me wants to add a few more fish. I'm sure this is a common dilemma for most aquarists. I've been thinking about adding a couple cory cats or maybe some ghost shrimp or other freshwater invertebrates. I would love suggestions or opinions from everyone on what to add or if they think any more fish would be overstocking.

first id get three more of each tetra, as they like a group of at least six. then six or so smaller cories like pygmys or pandas. in my opinion your understocked at the moment, as long as your tank is cycled :D

ghost shrimp add much less of a bioload than any fish, so with all those fish ten ghosts would probably work out fine

pick either blood fins or flame tetras. your tank doesnt have enough room for schools of both.

:iagree:

Either will look nice, though I'm partial to bloodfins at the moment.
