yea, it was built to be a planted tank, then the previous owner raised plecos in it. aside from the oscars, my main focus in this tank is bichirs and knives.
Well, my hubby found another clutch of snail eggs this mornin!! This time they were smart and laid them jus above the water line, so I just drapped a moist shop towel over em and let em stay right there. I'm so excited for all these babies!!! I' thinkin about tradin some of my fish in for more snails! They are soooo addicting. I already have 4 tanks and a rena xp3 full of snails and still want more!

I am a "natural" tank purist (okay, I am a snob!) - live plants, rocks and driftwood, natural color substrate, I don't have a single "decoration" or plastic plant anywhere. but I gotta say- I REALLY want to set up a tank with PURPLE SAND! I absolutely love it!
yea, I grew up with my dad restricting all the tanks to natural only, so I guess I am still kinda rebelling!!! Yes that is a bacardi bottle in the tank! It was a hide out for my baby bichirs, but has since been removed since he's in with the sevs and no one else in the tank can fit in it, lol!!!!
