Wow, despite the lacking tail, they surely looked they've adapted and can swim with ease.

Sorry austin i had to comment on this..

See thats where it starts do not let them out no matter how much you feel sorry for them let these be your special little bundles of joys and i would cull the fry from future spawns..

I have been reading a lot of threads on different forums about tail less fish lately. Not just these guys but also guppies and platies.

Wonder if its connected somehow.

Haha, they are so much fun to watch. I am not letting them go anywhere, if they do end up spawning I will cull the fry.

i think its fine that your raising them but you definitely have the right idea about never letting them out of your sight. i still say yes...

Well if they produce regular fry i wouldn't cull them but they may pass that defect gene to the next generation.. i like special fish sorta the nemo story defect heheehe.. later my friend..

i wouldnt let them breed. but they would make a cute pet

thats freakin awseome

My son's yellow labs recently had a batch of fry and one of them is tail-less. It has adapted very well like your demasoni. It quickly became my sons favorite (the underdog) and so we are gonna keep it. Once it gets a little bigger, I will try to photgraph it.
