My 55g Reef Build.. Pics Updated Daily

Rather than drilling 2 1/2" holes why not just drill one hole for 1" or 1-1/2" for the overflow? Then for return line drill a hole for a 3/4" bulkhead fitting?

Ok, this may be a stupid question but I'm going to ask anyways... Are you sure the glass is not tempered?

Very nice! Just didn't want to be quiet if it could cause a fail. I look forward to pics and details. Looks very interesting.

I appreciate it acctually... because I have seen many people who dont know the difference and the outcome is devistating

Plumbing is now completely finished... I went with 2 drains instead of the 2 going into a bigger one.. had most of the parts laying around.

here are some updated pics... I also painted the back of the tank today.

I still need to vacuum the plastic shavings out of the tank... tomorrow it should be ready for a wet test

I also went with 1 larger V-Shaped divider in the sump.. I have a theory im testing out

Bump

When do you think you'll add water to make sure everything is leak proof? Looking good.

The only thing I see is that your drain plumbing is exceptionally small. I always like large drains in case of potential issues with flooding. I have 1.25" on my 40 breeder, though that is encased in an overflow box. The small plumbing may work to your advantage with such a small sump, however, and may give you time to act if something does go wrong.
