Drinking Soda as a CO2 Source in Aquarium

LOL I really thought he meant the usual pop - was thinking "what the...."

So what about Perrier? That even has some dissolved minerals... haha.

im not sure what perrier is TBH

It's bottled water, carbonated.. imported.

I tend to agree with 7 that the soda water isn't going to do much good. Pour some into a glass and see how long it stays fizzy. All those bubbles go flat in a matter of hours. If you pour some into tank water, they'll rise straight up and the gas will be released even faster. That isn't going to diffuse the gas bubbles into the water column.

how bout stick the filter intake (if u have a canister)in the bottle and let the filter suck it up and diffuse it into the tank

I would just poke a hole into the top of the bottle... and then run a hose from the bottle to my powerhead

that would be much more efficient-- and would get you a days CO2

Takashi Amano in his first book stated he used Soda Water(Club Soda) to decent success before pressurized setups. Today that bit of advice is grossly wrong, since pressurized Co2 setups are really inexpensive.

why dont you just run a hose to the bottle (like a DIY CO2)???? i wonder if that would work?????
EDIT: like 7 said but with out the power head!

i hear an experiment calling my name!!!!

Just find or make a device to agitate the bottle every so often, lol.
