I feel your pain, at some of my local chain stores like this they give you the run around when you want to talk to a manager... It's really sad that it has to happen but yeah; like has been said try to talk to them... just be prepared and stay level headed... one rant to a Pet Co(Mpany) manager and you'll be blacklisted from their employ list for life. (as has happened to me)

Our Wal Mart was MUCH worse than that. Not only were there tons of dead fish but there was a 1/2 inch layer of rotten food covering the gravel. It looked like they had dumped a whole can of food in each tank. I called the manager and had a talk with him. Next time I was there the tanks were perfect. Call that stores manager!

The tanks in the pics actually don't look bad, not a lot of debris, detritus or algae. Are the tanks ALWAYS like this or is this the first time you have ever seen it this bad? What I am getting at is maybe you caught it at a bad time, like right after they just got a shipment.

They did! But management insisted that those workers help out with other departments. Then they found themselves forced to work more in other departments and eventually quit all together. :(

I do not work at Walmart, but I am guessing that there isn't really a "fish department" like there is a hardware dept. or plumbing dept at Lowes or Home Depot. I assume the fish duty is shared. Can anyone confirm this assumption?

I don't know how all Walmarts work, but I do know a friend of mine used to work in their fish department. That was her main job, and she only went to other departments when absolutely needed, like someone called in sick or whatever.

thats why i wanted to put it as avatar but would not work so next best is in signature

if that dude did not have help he is dead

You do realize it's totally fake right?

Too bad the walmart pics aren't

Who cares? their management deserves an earful for lack of maintenance of the livestock. It SHOULD fall on MANAGEMENTS shoulders, not the low level employees that get paid dirt.

Your shipper drops off 60 bags of traumatized fish and your first obligation is to try and save as many of the live ones as possible, then you worry about the dead ones. Must be hell!
