Red Crystal Shrimps Question

Hi everyone!

I recently bought red crystal shrimps, and for a few months they have been living in a 10 gallon, red and happy. I recently moved them over to a 29 gallon about 2 weeks ago, and I noticed they started losing their white strips. Ammonia, Nitrate, Nitrites are around 0 but the PH is 7.6. Why might they be losing their white strips?

I read there is special food for Red Crystal Shrimps, but is it required to keep them happy and healthy? (I think the brand was Biomax, correct me if I'm wrong)

Was the pH the same in the other tank? That is higher than they typically thrive in.

The other tank was around 7.2. I read that they thrive in 6.8, but I've been having a hard time adjusting the PH to that level. I still see one berried, and they still molt their skin frequently (unless the transparent shrimp look alike thing is a dead one )

i had zero luck with the higher ph and them. again it also depends on what great though. higher grades = weaker from what i seen.

You found a dead shrimp? Dead shrimp don't move, and is not transparent.

If you want to reduce your pH, you can use peat.

If you are keeping Crystal Red Shrimp, CRS, you should probably test your tap water for GH and KH. I beleive the lower the better for them, and if your KH drops, your pH will naturally drop as well. Distilled water could be your key in keeping the pH down.
