Amano Shrimp Bio load

How many amano shrimp can I add to a tank? Are they the bio equivlent to a danio? A platy? A plecostomus?

lol I certainly hope not a pleco! How big is the tank and what do you already have? They don't have a ton of bioload.

Now I learned you can have 100 cherry shrimps in a 10g. Based on this assumption, this means a small kind of shrimp generates only around 1/10 of a Zebra Danio.

that does not allow for breeding (they do this quite well)

My amano's are about 2 to 3 times the size of my cherries. so I would say even less, 30 to 40 maybe for a 10 gallon

Wow those are big. So bioload is directly proportional to the size but compare to the equivalent size fish, how much less? If your amano shrimps are about the same size as Zebra Danio, then this means amanos are about 4-5 times lighter in load.

really cant do shrimp vs fish since there so many different kinds of fish its not always that easy..... lets start at what size of tank and whats in it now...
