The dust has just about settled and I'm getting ready to stir it up again. Going to add 4 more bags of black flourite today to build up the sub on the back, ends, and a little more in the front. Have never done this before (added substrate to a tank with water) - hope it's not too big a mess (lol). Anyway, here we go ...

Gorgeous. All the colors (the cherry stain, the many shades of green in the plants, the black substrate/back, and the browns of the wood) come together fantastically.

So that's where part of that flourite-dust settled itself.... :-)

Tank's looking great. Very curious how it's going to develop.
Weekend coming, look forward to the updates.

Regards,
Luc

Thanks Luc - yep, I think you are 100% correct - the flourite dust seemed to seal the tiny leak!

Cool. It's looking good with the new stuff. (Still can't stop looking at those GREY CIRCLES on the back wall, holding those almost invisible BLACK pipes though, LOL!! j/k!)

Grey is my absolute "new" favorite color - lol! When this baby grows in hopefully you won't even be able to "see" the back wall ...

i dont know if you've fixed the problem yet, but have you tried going to home depot. They have these steal rings clamps for hoses/tubing/pipe whatever. You can tighten them as much as you need to.

Thanks Looney but I think the leak is no more (knock on wood). It seems to have sealed itself (the flourite dust probably didn't hurt anything).

BTW - the replacement eheim quick-connect showed up yesterday (just in time!)!!

Thanks a bunch - it's looking good so far. Really eager now to get it planted out and stocked. Those Discus may be closer than we thought ...
