Who knows! I'd probably end up doing something Asian inspired. Your rummies and cardinals will look great! They're some of my favorites. I just haven't caught the "Discus bug" (yet).

Coy, how did the dust go? A lot of it? Did the steps I mentioned work out? Just curious.
Regarding your Discus bug...don't worry, you get the first Discus and you're lost..been there & done that.
Cardinals and Black Neon's would be my choice...oh...Rasbory Galaxy...must have those...Only small size fishes to pop out the Discus.

Actually Luc it worked pretty well. In fact, the first couple of cups I dropped in made very little dust. I washed the flourite very well the day before and let it stand overnight to dry. I found that the flourite being added did not really create that much dust; but if it was dropped on the more sandy (flourite black sand was part of the first batch) part of the original mixture the dust did kick up a bit. Nonetheless, it was a successful project (a bit of work - want to make sure you get enough sub the first time). Thanks again for all your help.
A few finishing touches today on the sub leveling / arrangement and will be posting some updated pics.
BTW - the Mrs. "really" likes the discus idea!
Trust me, the rasbory galaxy would just finish it...They are wonderful little fish...very colorful....
Good to hear, my water is pretty much done now, seeded it with bioballs from one of my canisters and it's been running for a week now. No big problems yet, so I'm moving on the electricity and lights..
Got some guppies and 2 angels swimming around...they love it.

/\ /\ 400 watts total; may never get to that though. It's designed to run 160, 240, or all 400. Right now we are running just the 160 (2 x Geisman 80w @ 6,000k) and it's very bright. 160 w in a couple of 5 foot tubes seems like a great deal of light.
