Python makes meal of Maltese terrier

Olive's are beautiful, trick. Even though they are "plain", they are prettier in my eyes than an albino burm.

It's strictly a cultural attitude when you come down to it. Folks who have no objection to a rat, chicken, or other animal being eaten by a snake get all bent if it happens to a cat or dog. It seems to me it would be just as well, considering how many cats and dogs are euthenized every day in animal shelters nationwide. I'm not lacking any sympathy for the woman who lost her four-legged friend, but if you look at the whole thing more objectively why is a cat or dog any different from any other animal?

I just took one, and feeling good.

Anyway, sad thing for a dog to go down this way. Wonder what would have happened if that was a Rottweiler, lol. I think mr python would be mangled pretty bad.
Actually I am betting if a Rottie took on a snake this size, it could have been killed.

I have seen pictures of a Florida kingsnake kill a Cat. These animals are experts in killing prey.

I own various species of snakes and have been working with them for years. They are an animal that is like a dual edge blade, very friendly and make very good pets but can also be deadly killers in their own right. Always respect the animal is my motto.

By the looks of it, it was a good size snake.

I don't feel sorry for the owner they should of known what was out there for dangerous animals that could potentially harm there pets

You are so right, I do not understand people when they live in the country and wilderness areas and freak out when a Bear or Bob Cat attacks their dogs. You really gotta know where you live and realize you are living next door to wild creatures.

Call me crazy but I do love Olive Pythons. I am hoping to get a few in the next few years. they are beautiful snakes, i just love Australian pythons.

Me too! I love Aussie reptiles. I'm not a snake guy but if I could have any constrictor it'd be a woma or a nice jungle carpet python.

<----Would choose ANY dog, over ANY snake, ANY day :)
