They only get to be about an inch (typically under) so you could keep quite a bit of them in that large of a tank, just not with anyone that might put them in their mouths.
They are beauties!. But at the prices that I was seeing, replacing my Neon's with them would give me severe "sticker shock" for a month or two![]()
IMO--You have almost the same BIO load as I have (but my tank is only 100gal). You can up the schools a little to mabe 8-12 fishes each.
I've never run co2, so I don't know much about it. I guess it depends on the plants you have. If you pick undemanding plants, you'll do fine without it.

Would Angel's work with these species of Tetra's in a tank of this size that is heavily planted? I have never really had a lot of experience with Angels. What about Blue Ram's?
