My python dilemma

I used to rent a place w/out a washer- I got a portable one. The hose adapter didn't fit the faucet- argh! So i bought a new faucet, installed it, put on the hose adapter, and put the old faucet under the sink. When I moved I reinstalled the old faucet and took mine with me.
how hard is it to put a new faucet on? can you do it with just some teflon tape and plumbers glue?
I am in the same boat, so I have to use 5 gallon buckets. it sucks but it is what it is. Im a single grand mother with no male help so I have to have kids help lug buckets. Since my back went south several years ago its very hard to do the water changes I do with out my 14 year olds help.
I have a portable dishwasher. We also had a fancy faucet that it you couldn't attach it to. However, the faucet in the bathroom worked just fine. I don't suppose there's another one in a close enough place? Dragging the dishwasher to the bathroom got old after about a year, so we ended up just installing a new faucet in the kitchen. Mmmm but my python doesn't quite attach to it nicely. I've tried a bunch of different little rubber pieces (the name escapes me) to try and get a better seal, but no matter what you use or how tight you screw it, water still sprays all over the place. I just throw a wash cloth over it. It works.
Oh, and it's totally easy to install a new faucet. It's pretty simple and the kit I had came with really good directions. Also, it might be a good idea to take your python bit to the hardware store to make sure that it works with the new one if that's the route you go... of course on the other hand... I really did like the fancy faucet that was there before more than the new one.

installing a new faucet is easy.
I have to do it every couple years(wife sees a new fixture and ..well honey do list is created.)
much easier if you have an offset wrench...

breaking down the tanks because i cant find a fitting and the landlord wont let me get a new faucet. Im not carrying buckets. What a crock of ****.
