Hey hey all, a few people backed out so I have a few more krebs left for sale if anyone's interested!

i think a protein rich diet makes them blue.

Delayed response, the protein rich diet only makes the legs and claws blue. Not the whole crayfish, that's a result of a complete different set of circumstances that are up for debate amongst various keepers and breeders. ^_^

oops sry i was wrong..

Nah, I wish you were right. Because then the coloration could be controlled rather than being sporadic (the crays that develop the coloration morphs lose/gain them every couple of months). And without the other cause being nailed down, all us kreb keepers are stuck with hopes of sporadic changes in color. ^_^

yea those all blue ones look sweet. ive seen a pic of a white one. ive heard theres red also. do you have any good web sites about marmorkrebs that you woulnt mind linking me to.

I love the blue and white ones. I've seen red and olive green as well, neither of those are particularly impressive, but still interesting to see.

Anyway, my favorite site for pet care, world-wide updates and various science updates on Marmorkrebs is marbledcrayfish.org (not .com, that site is evil, evil I say!). The site is run by a professor (Dr. Zen Faulkes) in TX, real great guy and very friendly. He posts a bunch of things on his site and blog (found linked in his site). It's updated regularly and full of great info.

Aside from that, there's not many kreb sites I'm particularly found of (I find them all to be rather generic or misinformed), at least ones that are in English. If you speak German, I could link you a few more lol.

Other than that, the only other source I could recommend is signing up at bluecrayfish.com and seeking out a user called "badflash", he's a big time breeder of these gals. There's a few other knowledgeable people there, too, who could hook you up with an odd assortment of gathered information as well. ^_^

Hey there, I got a young marble cray a few days ago, and have been to both http://marbledcrayfish.org and http://marbledcrayfish.com to seek for care information. Would you mind to share why you think the dot com one is evil?

Thanks in advance !
